Clearboard with Background Clearing

We just released Cleardboard version 1.2. Besides updating the app to iOS 7 design, we include the exciting feature of Background Clearing. With this feature, Clearboard is able to clear the content of your clipboard without even you launching the app.

So how do we make this possible? Thanks for iOS 7's Background App Refresh, we are able to let Clearboard running in the background with very little use of battery power. iOS 7 will monitor your use of the device and launch the app accordingly. Throughout our two months extensive testing, we found Clearboard could clear the clipboard as often as every five minutes. When your device is in the sleep mode (for example, at night) Clearboard will not be running at all, hence the minimum usage of battery.

​Two weeks ago, we launched Clearboard. As of today, we made it to the top 500 productivity app in 22 countries including United States. We have done particularly well In Japan,  On Sunday March 17, we were top 117 in the productivity category. Thanks so much for all the support. If you like our app, please spread the word.

"As far as basic concepts go, Clearboard is very basic, but the simplicity is useful in that it does what it needs to in a predictable and logical way. The animations are quite nice too, however I'm not exactly sure I really need to even wait 3 seconds to clear the clipboard. No fault to the app though, just a preference of mine. I'm extremely pleased with Clearboard, enough so that I'm considering buy the addons. I suggest that everyone install Clearboard and run it daily."

We will take your comments into consideration for the future enhancement.

Currently, there is a "Sudden Death" style included in the In-App Purchase pack. It will clear the clipboard without any countdown. But obviously in this style you will not see the animation that we love so much.
